As poetry is often found on the streets, we will make the street our poetry book.

So, take a piece of chalk, go out on the street, write a poem and take a picture. If you want to tell us about the day you wrote the poem and about how people reacted to it, feel free to do so. When ready, mail your chalk poem and text to chalkpoetry@gmailcom. Within 24 hours your poem will be published on this blog.

But that is not the end of the story.

The meaning of this blog is to bring people all over the world together through poetry, not only by showing the pictures on this site, but also in the hope that as of next year, on the last Thursday of January, we all organize a CHALK POETRY event in our own town. The reports of the event will again be shown on this blog.

You never know, this blog might turn this world again into a place, much nicer to live in.

-------
